Terms and Conditions

By signing up to be an affiliate in the Kotobee Affiliate Program, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please ensure that you read them carefully before signing up. Any violation of these Terms may result in termination or suspension of your rights to be an Affiliate and forfeiture of any outstanding affiliate referral fee payments earned during the violation.

Commission and Payment

Commission Rates. The commission is 30% on every qualified sale made through your assigned link. The rate is upgradeable to 40% based on performance.

Tracking method. When a user visits Kotobee through your affiliate link, your code is stored in their browser's cache (local storage to be specific). Once the user decides to create a "free" account, the code is stored into their account where it stays safely in our database. So even if the user purchases later from a different browser or computer, you will still be eligible for the sale.

Tracking period. Visitors who come to Kotobee via your affiliate link will be tracked for 90 days from their initial visit. During this period, if they make a purchase, you will be eligible for a commission. Additionally, if they sign up for a free account anytime in those 90 days, they will be tracked for an additional 90 days, giving you more opportunities to earn a commission if they eventually upgrade to a paid plan.

Recurring transactions. Commission for monthly and annual subscriptions, such as the Kotobee library and hosted ebook subscriptions, will be calculated based on the first month or year only. This commission will only be awarded if the user makes the subscription payment within the tracking period, which is between 3 to 6 months. Please note that subsequent subscription renewals or payments will not earn a commission.

Upgrades. If a customer upgrades to a premium license, you will earn an additional commission. This commission will only be awarded if the upgrade payment is made within the tracking period, which is between 3 to 6 months.

Payment method. You earn from qualifying purchases made through the traffic you drive to Kotobee product pages using your affiliate link. Once you reach a certain threshold of $200, payments will automatically be sent to you by the end of the month through PayPal.

Payment account. In order to receive payment under this agreement, you must have a valid and up-to-date PayPal account connected to your affiliate account.

Limitations

Affiliate links may rely on cookies that track referrals. If those cookies get erased, sales made through your link may not be tracked and thus, your commission won’t be paid.

Cookie window is 90 days from the first visit through your link. There’s also an additional 90 days window after the user signs up for a free account using your referral link.

Attribution

In the event of a customer clicking on two different affiliate links, the first affiliate will get the credit.

Advertising Policies

You are prohibited from purchasing ads that direct to your site(s) or through an affiliate link that could be considered as competing with Kotobee's own advertising, including but not limited to using our branded keywords in your paid ads advertising such as Kotobee, Kotobee Author, Kotobee Library, Kotobee Cloud, and Kotobee Mini Apps. This includes but is not limited to, Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other similar platforms.
Don’t use incorrect or misleading statements on the features or benefits of Kotobee.
Don’t modify or adjust Kotobee products’ logos in any sort of marketing material you might create.
Don’t use unethical marketing practices such as cookie stuffing.
Don’t attempt to mask the referring URL information.
You must disclose in a clear way before the affiliate link that you will receive a commission if someone makes a purchase if they click through the link.
We are not responsible for your affiliate marketing actions or content.
We prohibit users from spamming third-party blogs or social media with their affiliate links.
You may not use Kotobee’s affiliate program for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the program, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

Obligations

You are required to share the placements where you have used your affiliate link upon request. This includes but is not limited to, links, screenshots, and email sends. By sharing this information, Kotobee can ensure that our affiliate program policies are being followed, and also provide any necessary support to help you optimize your promotional efforts.
